\n ThredUp announced on Tuesday sales for the third quarter surged 34 percent to\u00a0$82.2\u00a0million, with the U.S. resale platform attributing the increase to a lift in customer numbers and order growth.<\/p>\n

The Oakland, California-based company said active buyer numbers rose 26 percent to 1.57 million, while orders skyrocketed 37 percent to 1.61 million for the third quarter ending September.<\/p>\n

Net income fell to $583,000 during the quarter, compared to $739,000 in the prior-year period.<\/p>\n

\u200b\u201cIn Q3, we are proud to have delivered our fourth consecutive quarter of accelerating revenue growth, driven by exceptional new buyer acquisition and order growth,\u201d said ThredUp CEO and co-founder, James Reinhart.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis quarter, we launched a fully rebranded ThredUp experience, with new products and features that create a more personalized and engaging way to buy and sell secondhand<\/a>. These advancements are enabled by years of investment in our data and technology infrastructure, positioning us to innovate faster and strengthen our competitive moat in the growing resale market.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, ThredUp\u00a0expects full-year revenue to be in the range of $307 million to $309 million, up 18 percent year-over-year at the midpoint.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, ThredUp in late September unveiled a\u00a0full rebrand designed to strengthen its position as a leader in the now-mainstream\u00a0secondhand\u00a0market.\u00a0\n <\/p>\n
