Novak Djokovic\u2019s status for the ATP Finals in Turin has been revealed.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old Serbian tennis legend will play in the event Nov. 9-16, according to the head of Italy\u2019s tennis federation Angelo Binaghi.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have confirmation that Djokovic will be in Turin,\u201d Binaghi told Italian radio channel Rai Gr Parlamento on Monday, via The Independent.<\/a><\/p>\n

There had been some speculation that the 24-time Grand Slam champion might skip the event and focus on the Australian Open in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an absolute coup for the Year-End Championships and for the ATP Tour overall,” ESPN analyst Patrick McEnroe said via text. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis also makes it very clear about Djokovic\u2019s commitment to 2026, especially the Australian Open in January.\u201d<\/p>\n

Djokovic withdrew from the Paris Masters after retiring from his match against Taylor Fritz at the Six Kings Slam exhibition in Saudi Arabia. The Serb battled a leg injury and retired against Fritz after losing the first-set tiebreak.<\/p>\n

Djokovic has won the ATP Finals a record seven times (2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2022 and 2023).<\/p>\n

The eight players in Turin will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals. Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner<\/a>, Alexander Zverev<\/a>, Fritz,<\/a> Ben Shelton<\/a> and Alex de Minaur<\/a> will compete, with the final spot to be determined in the coming days.<\/p>\n
