It was more of a \u2018holiday stay\u2019 than a \u2018homestay\u2019\u2026<\/p>\n

Well, it turns out there was a pretty big reason why the vibes of April and Leo\u2019s homestay felt so\u2026 off (beyond April still showing zero romantic interest in Leo). Leo\u2019s homestay with April on MAFS UK wasn\u2019t filmed in his actual home.<\/p>\n

It appears Leo\u2019s MAF<\/a>S homestay was actually filmed in a holiday home near the Chichester city centre. The modern \u201ceco house\u201d has two bedrooms and a small garden (where April<\/a> and Leo awkwardly analysed their relationship). Hiring it out for two nights through Airbnb<\/a> costs upwards of \u00a3500.<\/p>\n

To be fair, Leo did technically never say on the show that he lived in this exact house. He told April he was feeling \u201ca lot more comfortable already\u201d now he was in his \u201chometown\u201d \u2013 not his home.<\/p>\n

The MAFS homestay episode includes plenty of hidden details which hint that April and Leo are only pretending as if he lives there. It took Leo a moment to open the front door. April cooks the fajitas, not Leo. They drink out of some rather unusually-shaped glasses, which look more suited to a holiday let than an actual home.<\/p>\n

Most crucially, there is a complete lack of hot dog-themed memorabilia anywhere. I have no doubts that Leo\u2019s main abode would feature a minimum of 20 photos of him at hot dog eating contests.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s actually not unheard for MAFS contestants to pretend they live somewhere else for the homestays. In MAFS Australia 2025, Jacqui rented out an Airbnb.<\/a> She said on her Instagram this was for \u201csecurity and privacy\u201d, although a source told the Daily Mail Australia<\/a> that her real flat was \u201ctoo small\u201d and \u201cmessy\u201d to film in.<\/p>\n
