Former England physical disability squad head coach Ben Silver has been given a suspended \u00a3500 fine after admitting two charges of improper conduct.<\/p>\n
Silver accepted two charges, adjudicated by the independent Cricket Discipline Panel, relating to his time as an elite performance coach with Yorkshire between August and October 2024.<\/p>\n
The first related to an inappropriate sexual advance to a female colleague while the second was in reference to an “offensive and improper ‘game’ relating to female colleague’s appearances”.<\/p>\n
In addition to the fine, which is suspended for 12 months, Silver will have to complete a training programme which addresses professional boundaries in the workplace.<\/p>\n
“I would like to thank Yorkshire CCC for their co-operation in this matter,” the Cricket Regulator managing director Chris Haward said in a statement., external<\/a><\/p>\n “Women working within cricket have the right to attend their place of work without the concern that they will be subjected to inappropriate and improper sexualised behaviours.<\/p>\n “The Cricket Regulator will not hesitate in acting against such behaviour in order to stamp this out and ensure cricket remains an inclusive environment for all.”<\/p>\n
