As she and her cast mates discussed Gretchen\u2019s reaction to the accusations made on the Oct. 30 episode (more on those below), Shannon told Heather Dubrow<\/a> on\u00a0The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show<\/a> that Gretchen\u2019s perceived lack of reaction was likely just a matter of individuality. Referring to Emily Simpson<\/a>\u00a0as an example,\u00a0Shannon explained, \u201cEmily said, \u2018You just sat there. You didn\u2019t do anything.\u2019 Because Emily is the type of person that comes in hard right away. Like, \u2018I\u2019m going to react.\u2019 And other people react certain ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another example? Shannon\u2019s ex-husband, David Beador<\/a>, \u201claughs\u201d during confrontations. \u201cAnd some people are deers in the headlight, and some people go and they\u2019re very vocal about what\u2019s going on,” Shannon continued. “So, I don\u2019t want to judge her based on her reaction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, when discussing what Gretchen had been accused of, Shannon added, “I just can\u2019t imagine Gretchen doing something like that. I\u2019ve seen a kind, devoted mom, a faith-based gal, and a girl who has a lot of friends in the LGBTQ community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heather Dubrow and more of the RHOC cast weigh in on Gretchen Rossi’s social media controversy<\/p>\n

Heather, for her part, wondered why Gretchen wasn\u2019t outraged after Gina Kirschenheiter<\/a> confronted her at their final dinner in Amsterdam about allegedly liking social media posts that were \u201cvery disparaging towards the LGBTQ+ community.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0As she put it on the RHOC After Show, \u201cIf someone was accusing me of something like that, you just want to go, \u2018How can I prove that this is ridiculous, that this is so not true?\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Emily, to Tamra Judge<\/a> and Gina, also said she expected Gretchen\u2019s reaction to be \u201ccompletely different,\u201d contending, \u201cIf it was me, I would have been livid.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought that her reaction would have been, \u2018F–k you, Tamra; This is you creating bulls–t about me,\u2019 and that\u2019s what I thought the reaction might be,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd then I was going to sit and analyze that, but there was no reaction from her.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Which made it worse,” Tamra chimed in.<\/p>\n

Gretchen Rossi defends her reaction to the social media controversy<\/p>\n

Gretchen denied liking the alleged social media posts both on\u00a0RHOC Season 19, Episode 17 and on the RHOC After Show. She also defended her perceived lack of a reaction, stating, “I was so confused because, in my heart, I’m like, ‘There’s no way I would’ve liked a post like that.'”<\/p>\n

“What am I supposed to say to this? I know fundamentally in my heart what I feel and how I believe,” Gretchen continued. “But it’s like, how are you supposed to defend that in that moment?”<\/p>\n

“I was legitimately in shock and confused,” she added. “And then it just got weirder and weirder and weirder.”<\/p>\n
