<\/a>Warner Bros. Pictures<\/p>\nTwo major films of 2006 are set to get theatrical re-releases to celebrate their 20th anniversaries next year.<\/p>\n
Cineverse will re-release Guillermo del Toro\u2019s Oscar-winning Spanish Civil War fantasy \u201cPan\u2019s Labyrinth\u201d across North American screens following a deal granting them all North American distribution rights.<\/p>\n
A re-release is in store for next year, along with Cineverse planning to release the movie in premium wide-format screens \u2013 though no specific date has been set. The original pulled in $83.8 million at the global box-office and is still held up today by many as del Toro\u2019s masterpiece.<\/p>\n
Also, the James McTeigue-directed and Wachowskis-produced film adaptation of Alan Moore\u2019s comic \u201cV for Vendetta\u201d is set to get a nationwide theatrical re-release in around one year\u2019s time \u2013 on November 1st & 5th 2026.<\/p>\n
Fathom Entertainment, Saga Arts and Warner Bros. Pictures have released a trailer for the re-release, which takes a riff on V\u2019s \u2018One Year From Tonight\u2019 message in the film about masked freedom fighter known only as V (Hugo Weaving) who is trying to take down a totalitarian British Government.<\/p>\n
Natalie Portman, Stephen Rea, John Hurt, Stephen Fry and Tim Pigott-Smith co-star in the film which grossed $132 million worldwide and has become a major cult hit in the years since.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
