Years before the Northern Irishman ascended to the Liverpool first team himself, he was a kid pretending to be one of the club’s greatest ever players.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, I would have spent a lot of time [in the backyard],” Bradley explains in a new edition of Backyard Dreams, presented by Husqvarna, the Reds’ official lawn care partner.<\/p>\n

“Any time we got home from school, we just went straight out and played football.<\/p>\n

“Steven Gerrard<\/a> was one [I pretended to be], definitely. I used to slide about the garden trying to copy him, hit it top bins.<\/p>\n

“And then [Luis] Suarez<\/a> as well.”<\/p>\n

Fast-forward back to the present day and Bradley is an established senior squad member at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Player of the Match in Tuesday night’s Champions League win over Real Madrid, the right-back in the process reached the mark of 70 appearances for Liverpool.<\/p>\n

So, what would the childhood Bradley think of the progress he has achieved?<\/p>\n

“I think he’d be pretty surprised to see what I’ve gone on and done,” said the No.12.<\/p>\n

“He’d be telling me now to keep going and keep working hard, and just try to make the most of what you’ve got.”<\/p>\n
