So, of course, there\u2019s a sequel coming our way, aiming for a\u00a0December 5, 2025\u00a0theatrical release \u2013 and\u00a0when fans go to see the movie on the big screen, multiple theatre chains will be offering them special popcorn buckets to munch out of!<\/p>\n<p>Cinemark alone will be offering a Freddy popcorn bucket, a stage popcorn bucket, and a popcorn tin, not to mention a souvenir cup:<\/p>\n<p>Regal Cinemas will have a popcorn stage collectible and a popcorn tin: <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fantasy and fun come to life with the Popcorn Stage Collectible. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy\u2019s won\u2019t be so easy to make it through. Now, a shocking new chapter of animatronic terror begins.\u00a0One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear\u2019s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town\u2019s first ever Fazfest.\u00a0 Former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have kept the truth from Mike\u2019s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.\u00a0 But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy\u2019s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.<\/p>\n<p>As the synopsis mentions, the first film\u2019s stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Elizabeth Lail (You), and Piper Rubio (Holly &amp; Ivy) have returned for\u00a0Five Nights at Freddy\u2019s 2. So have Matthew Lillard (Scream) and Theodus Crane\u00a0(Underground). New characters are played by Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters\u00a0franchise), Teo Briones (Final Destination: Bloodlines), and Lillard\u2019s\u00a0Scream\u00a0co-star Skeet Ulrich. Megan Fox (Jennifer\u2019s Body) is voicing Toy Chica, MatPat (FNAF the Musical) is voicing Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff (Five Nights at Freddy\u2019s: Secret of the Mimic) provides the voice of Toy Freddy.<\/p>\n<p>The first adaptation was originally set up at Warner Bros., where\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.joblo.com\/tag\/gil-kenan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Gil Kenan<\/a>\u00a0(Monster House) was going to direct the film from a screenplay he was writing with Tyler Burton Smith (the\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0remake). Then the project moved over to Blumhouse, where Chris Columbus (Home Alone) was attached to direct it for several years. It finally went into production with\u00a0Emma Tammi\u00a0\u2013 director of\u00a0The Wind, Into the Dark: Delivered,\u00a0and\u00a0Into the Dark: Blood Moon\u00a0\u2013 at the helm, working from a screenplay she wrote with Seth Cuddeback (Mateo) and video game creator Scott Cawthon.\u00a0Tragedy Girls\u00a0writers Tyler MacIntyre and Chris Lee Hill share story credit with Cawthon. Tammi has directed the sequel from a script by Cawthon.<\/p>\n<p>Five Nights at Freddy\u2019s 2\u00a0is produced by Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon, who also produced the first film. The executive producers are director Emma Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman.
