{"id":249984,"date":"2025-11-07T20:40:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T20:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/249984\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T20:40:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T20:40:07","slug":"lyn-parry-amateur-golfer-aged-74-makes-three-holes-in-one-within-a-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/249984\/","title":{"rendered":"Lyn Parry: Amateur golfer aged 74 makes three holes-in-one within a month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">An English amateur golfer in her mid-seventies has made three holes-in-one in a month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Lyn Parry achieved the feat during October with two at her home club Downes Crediton in Devon, before completing the hat-trick at Tiverton Golf Club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Parry had previously made two holes-in-one since taking up the sport aged 58, lifting her tally to five.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The odds of three in a month were estimated at 1.95 trillion to one by England Golf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The holes-in-one have just come along a bit like buses, but for me it&#8217;s just about having fun,&#8221; the 74-year-old said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;You&#8217;re never too old. The beauty of golf is that it&#8217;s for all ages.
