Wolves are expected to announce Rob Edwards as their new head coach very soon \u2013 and James Collins last night sent a message to the incoming manager. <\/p>\n

Wolves<\/a> crashed to yet another defeat in the Premier League on Saturday, losing 3-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Most fans did not really expect anything from the game.<\/p>\n

But it was still another disappointing performance, especially from an attacking sense, with Wolves not having a single shot on target.<\/p>\n

It was U21s manager James Collins, helped by Richard Walker, who took the team for the game, with Wolves still in the process of naming Vitor Pereira\u2019s<\/a> replacement.<\/p>\n

Rob Edwards is all set to be that man after not managing Middlesbrough yesterday<\/a> \u2013 he was stood down, and then there was word of an agreement.<\/p>\n

It is clear he has a massive job on his hands \u2013 and James Collins<\/a> had a message for Edwards last night as he prepares to come in.<\/p>\n

It is going to take a miracle for Wolves to avoid relegation this season.<\/p>\n

No club has ever survived having taken just two points from 11 games, so Edwards will have to make history if Wolves are to avoid slipping into the Championship.<\/p>\n

Wolves just have so many problems right now that many fans have already accepted that relegation is on the cards.<\/p>\n

After last night\u2019s game, Collins was asked about Edwards\u2019 impending arrival \u2013 and gave him one message ahead of starting the biggest job of his life.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cIt\u2019s obviously a tough job because the boys are at the bottom of the league. What I would say to him is, if it\u2019s him, that the boys are together, the boys are working hard. The boys want to work on the training pitch. There aren\u2019t little cliques etc \u2013 they\u2019re very, very together. And that\u2019s a good place to start.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes there\u2019s work to do. Yes we\u2019ve got to improve. But there\u2019s a lot of games left this season. I just said to the boys in there, \u2018Your season\u2019s not going to be defined by Chelsea away, you\u2019ve got to pick points up in the big games\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think if they work as hard as that, and add more quality to their play at times, they can pick points up and go up the league.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wolves squad is together, but lacks quality<\/p>\n

The Wolves squad may still be \u2018together\u2019, but the big issue is that it lacks leaders, proven Premier League players and quality.<\/p>\n

And that is the fault of Fosun<\/a>, and also Domenico Teti<\/a> and Vitor Pereira, who both had big says in Wolves\u2019 recruitment in the summer.<\/p>\n

Jeff Shi claimed Wolves had a good window<\/a>, but the general consensus for fans is that there may not have been a worse window since Fosun bought the club.<\/p>\n

And now Wolves face a big issue going into January in that, players are likely not going to want to come due to the club\u2019s precarious league position.<\/p>\n
