Roy Jones Jr<\/a> has shared his view on the potential Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao<\/a> rematch.<\/p>\n

It has been reported in recent weeks that Mayweather and Pacquiao are in negotiations about a shock second meeting, over 10 years on from when they met in May 2015.<\/p>\n

That ended in a unanimous decision victory for Mayweather, but the bout failed to live up to the pre-fight hype, despite shattering a number of box office and pay-per-view records.<\/p>\n

Mayweather went on to retire from the sport in 2017, while Pacquiao made a sensational comeback in July as he drew with WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, paving the way for these talks with his former rival.<\/p>\n

Boxing legend Jones Jr has offered his take on the proposed battle whilst speaking to Fight Hub TV<\/a>, beginning by praising both men for potentially making the bout, whilst also referencing the recent back and forth he had with Mayweather himself.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIf they can do it and make the money doing it, it\u2019s a great move for both of them. I don\u2019t hate nobody for making money. I\u2019d be crazy to do that. Just don\u2019t call my name when you\u2019re doing it. If you think you\u2019re going to call my name and play a game with me, I\u2019m going to have an issue. I wish nothing but the best to both of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones then broke down where he thinks the fight could be won and lost.<\/p>\n

\u201cManny\u2019s chances go up now because he isn\u2019t injured this time, they both are a bit older so if he can stay busier, we\u2019ll see. Can Floyd still punch hard enough to get him out? I think he probably can but we\u2019ll see. Can Manny avoid Floyd\u2019s knockout punch, and can Manny out punch Floyd is what I\u2019m thinking.\u201d<\/p>\n
