“I first saw this sculpture in Emma Stothard’s studio in Whitby. I absolutely love it, I said then it should be displayed in the lobster capital of Europe, and here it is,” Ms Jackson said.<\/p>\n
The artist was born in Hull and grew up in Kilnsea. She is known for her sculptures made of willow and wire.<\/p>\n
Ms Jackson, whose business Hudson Contract sponsored the lobster’s arrival, also had support from Bridlington Ambassadors, Bridlington in Bloom, Brightening Up Bridlington, Bridlington Town Council and East Riding Council.<\/p>\n
The Bridlington Ambassadors said the sculpture was dedicated to the harbour community. <\/p>\n
