The Rugby League Ashes are done and dusted for 2025, with Australia claiming another 3-0 series whitewash over England. However, talk has already started in regard to when the next series will take place, with reports that it will be staged Down Under in 2028.<\/p>\n

And with the Rugby League<\/a> World Cup taking place next year and a home Test series for England against New Zealand mooted for 2027, the chances are aplenty for fresh Super League talent to stake their claim for future squads.<\/p>\n

Some of that talent is at Hull FC<\/a>, with current Black and Whites players already known to be on the radar of the current England setup. Those players are no secret, with wingers Lewis Martin<\/a> and Harvey Barron in conversations for future squads.<\/p>\n

Both wingers \u2013 one a Super League Dream Team member for 2025 and the other also having a strong year \u2013 fit the checklist for what head coach Shaun Wane desires. They are tall, brave, athletic, and good in the air. They don’t shy away from the backfield work, they are tough, and they can both finish. There’s every chance now that they can push for England honours should they keep on developing at Hull and get to the next level in the Super League.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, new signing Harvie Hill, as England assistant Andy Last told Hull Live last month<\/a>, is on the national team’s radar. The 22-year-old prop has big raps from his former Wigan Warriors teammates in the England fold and is tipped to make a crack of it in future internationals. He played for Cumbria against Nigeria earlier this month and with a four-year contract signed at Hull, he is backed to kick on and get to the next level.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, full-back Will Pryce was known to be disappointed at missing out on the extended England training squad in the summer. The challenge now for the talented 22-year-old is to stay fit and in form. If he does that and showcases the ability he had prior to his first hamstring injury, then he will be within a chance.<\/p>\n

It’s fair to say that England’s full-back position is up for grabs after Jack Welsby and AJ Brimson failed to grasp their opportunities in the Ashes. Pryce now has a shot, but he has to nail his club form first. That will be his goal for 2026, with a fully fit player set to slot into John Cartwright’s squad for February’s season start.<\/p>\n

There will also be other Hull players hungry to prove a point next season. Davy Litten made the left centre spot at Hull his own last season, but he has a battle on now with Arthur Romano to keep it. That will only bring the best out of Litten.
