A new twist has been announced today regarding Corriedale<\/a> \u2013 and it involves you.<\/p>\n

Corriedale is the name of the Coronation Street<\/a> and Emmerdale<\/a> crossover episode, which is going to air at the start of 2026.<\/p>\n

Back at the start of this month, it was confirmed that Danny Miller and Vicky Myers will see their paths cross<\/a> as Aaron Dingle<\/a> and DS Lisa Swain<\/a> for a fateful night that contains darkness.<\/p>\n

And it seems like the villains in their lives \u2013 Becky Swain<\/a> (Amy Cudden<\/a>) and on-the-run killer John Sugden<\/a> (Oliver Farnworth<\/a>) may play a part.<\/p>\n

Metro recently spotted a big clue<\/a> in Weatherfield police station showing a wanted poster for John \u2013 and apparently there are other hints to look out for.<\/p>\n

The specifics of the overall arcs of the episode remain a closely guarded secret for now, but we can most likely expect further teasers of who will meet who in the genius concept.<\/p>\n

An excited Coronation Street spokesperson told us: \u2018What leads Lisa and Aaron to find their lives intertwined on a dark and foreboding night in January?<\/p>\n

\u2018And which other Coronation Street and Emmerdale favourites will feature in the action packed and climactic episode?<\/p>\n

\u2018While the exact plot is being kept under wraps, what we can confirm is a one off one hour spectacular, featuring explosive scenes, nail biting drama and never before seen interactions between some of the nation\u2019s most loved soap characters.\u2019<\/p>\n

The latest development regarding this exciting event involves you!<\/p>\n

On social media<\/a>, a handful of cast members from Corrie and Emmerdale announced today that fans are now able to pick who they\u2019d like to see in the crossover.<\/p>\n

Iain MacLeod<\/a>, ITV\u2019s Executive Producer for Continuing Drama, teased the game-changing episode<\/a> and said: \u2018It\u2019s beyond exciting that filming is under way on Corriedale. There is a massive buzz around both the Leeds and Manchester sites and the images coming out of the shoot are utterly spectacular.<\/p>\n

\u2018And that\u2019s before we\u2019ve even got to all the brilliant transpennine interactions between characters from the different shows!<\/p>\n

He added: \u2018As a soap fan myself, I think my head is going to explode when the episode airs next year. It will be mind-blowing, historical and unmissable.\u2019<\/p>\n
