At the end of what had already been a fantastic show, Jade Thirlwall told fans to put their phones in their pockets as she had an extra treat in store in Gateshead<\/a> on Friday night. And that treat might just be the best pop song you\u2019ll hear all year.<\/p>\n As soon as it was announced that the South Shields<\/a> singer who\u2019s taken the pop industry by storm over the last year, was performing for the BBC<\/a> Proms at The Glasshouse, along with local legends the Royal Northern Sinfonia, the excitement from fans back on home turf was massive. Tickets were snapped up within minutes of going on sale and, within just a few bars of the evening\u2019s first song, it was clear that the packed crowd inside Stage One were witnessing something very special.<\/p>\n Songs like It Girl, Plastic Box and F U F N, already pop bangers in their own right, slated to a whole new level when brought to life by a live orchestra, while getting to experience Angel of My Dreams in the flesh, strings and all, was one of those gig moments that will live long in the memory.<\/p>\n However, unlike her much heralded sets at the likes of Radio 1\u2019s Big Weekend and Glastonbury, which ended with the song that started Jade<\/a>\u2019s solo journey last year, she wasn\u2019t done there.<\/p>\n And what turned out to be her encore is a song that, if there\u2019s any justice in this world, will be number 1 forever and a day when she releases it this year.
