Since it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/782500\/google-gemini-ai-assistant-smart-tv-tcl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">launched back in September<\/a>, Gemini for TV has only been available on a limited number of smart TVs. If you didn\u2019t have one of those devices, you were out of luck. Gemini for TV will soon be much more widely available \u2014 all you need is a TV with an HDMI port to connect a Google TV Streamer to, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chromecast\/answer\/7022492?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HDCP 1.3 or later<\/a>, and a reliable internet connection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Gemini for TV replaces Google Assistant, offering the same basic voice assistant capabilities but with a more conversational tone. For instance, you can ask Gemini for TV to suggest a movie for you and a friend to watch based on your preferred genres, or ask it to summarize the last season of a show you\u2019re watching. You can also use Gemini for TV for smart home tasks, such as showing you a camera feed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Gemini for TV will be rolling out \u201cover the next few weeks\u201d to Google TV Streamer devices, so don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have it on your device yet.
