Mike Tyson wants to see Terence Crawford fight Jaron Ennis.<\/p>\n

Crawford has had an impressive run during his time as a professional boxer so far.<\/p>\n

Crawford is 42-0 across his illustrious career and joined an elite group of five-weight world champions when he beat Canelo Alvarez earlier this year<\/p>\n

After moving up two weight classes to challenge Canelo Alvarez<\/a> in September, ‘Bud’ came away with the undisputed super-middleweight crown<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In taking home the division’s gold, he also became the first male three-weight undisputed champion in the four-belt era.<\/p>\n

There were rumours that ‘Bud’ was considering retiring from the sport, but reports are now suggesting otherwise.<\/p>\n

According to renowned sports journalist Chris Mannix, the Omaha puncher is eyeing a comeback in March 2026.<\/p>\n

As speculation grows over who he will be sharing the ring with, former heavyweight champion Tyson was asked who he would match him up with.<\/p>\n

Tyson told Hard Rock Bet: “I want to see Crawford fight Jaron Ennis Boots. I want to see him fight one of the Charlo brothers too. <\/p>\n

“I want to see Boots take a test. Charlo, one of those guys. The Charlo brothers, he went up to 154 pounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet him challenge one of those guys. I want to see him be tested. <\/p>\n

“I want to see him knocked down. I want to see him go to his corner and take a deep breath.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is Jaron Ennis likely to fight Terence Crawford?<\/p>\n

It seems unlikely that Ennis will fight Crawford next, especially after fight discussions failed between them back in July 2023.<\/p>\n

Ennis is also unbeaten having fought 35 times professionally, with 31 wins by KOCredit: Amanda Westcott\/SHOWTIME<\/p>\n

While they were both competing at 147lbs, Crawford was ordered to face ‘Boots’ for the IBF title<\/a>, but the bout failed to materialise.<\/p>\n

That being said, should a match-up be considered down the line, it would certainly be a huge clash between the compatriots.<\/p>\n

Ennis’ promoter, Eddie Hearn, explained: “For me, that is a fight for the ages, against [Terence] Crawford.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut, we have to prove ourselves \u2014 look, Terence is only going to fight \u2018Boots\u2019 if there\u2019s loads of money on the line.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause he knows how good Ennis is, and he\u2019s not gonna fight anymore, unless it\u2019s for a lot of money.<\/p>\n

“He has to earn his shot against Crawford, but that is the fight in nine to 12 months time \u2014 three fights down the line.”<\/p>\n

What is next for Terence Crawford?<\/p>\n

The idea of a rematch with Canelo has been floated, but the Mexican’s return to the ring has been delayed<\/a> until 2026 due to an elbow injury.<\/p>\n

Seemingly the most likely option for Crawford now is to pursue a move down to middleweight<\/a>, with the hopes of securing a world title in a sixth weight class.<\/p>\n

Should that be the case, the WBO and IBF champion Janibek\u00a0Alimkhanuly could get a chance if he beats Erislandy Lara first on December 6<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Especially as, in a video with Janibek’s manager, Crawford said: “I got my eyes on you, Janibek.
