Saul \u2018Canelo<\/a>\u2018 Alvarez assessed the skills of Terence Crawford<\/a> following their historic clash.<\/p>\n

Canelo was dethroned of his undisputed super-middleweight championship when he faced \u2018Bud\u2019 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday September 13.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford put on an impressive display against the Mexican icon to defeat him via unanimous decision and become the first male fighter to win a four-belt undisputed championship in three divisions.<\/a><\/p>\n

Canelo now finds himself at a crossroads in his professional career, although the 35-year-old from Guadalajara is expected to fight on and honour the remainder of the multi-fight deal that he signed with Riyadh Season at the beginning of the year. Where he goes and who he targets remains unclear, with a rematch still a possibility.<\/p>\n

More intriguing, perhaps, is who Crawford decides to face next. If that is not a rematch, it is safe to say Canelo will likely back him to win. Speaking at the post-fight press conference, he paid Crawford the ultimate compliment, saying \u2018he has everything.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything [gave me trouble]. He has everything. We knew Crawford is a great fighter. I did what I was supposed to do, right? I tried for every way. I trained very hard. He deserves all the credit. I tried my best. I couldn\u2019t figure out the style.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crawford has suggested that he may drop down one division to middleweight and look to become a champion in a fifth class.
