Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman has joined the cast of The Young People from writer-director Osgood Perkins.<\/p>\n

Lola Tung and Nico Parker lead the ensemble, which also includes Brendan Hines, Cush Jumbo, Heather Graham, Johnny Knoxville, Lexi Minetree, Lily Collias, and Tatiana Maslany.<\/p>\n

Production is currently underway in Vancouver for a 2026 theatrical release via Neon.<\/p>\n

Plot details are under wraps, but rumors suggest the film centers on a couple of school friends, one of whom starts to develop disturbing behavior. There is also speculation that it\u2019s a cosmic horror movie.<\/p>\n

Neon, which has a first-look deal with Perkins, is co-financing with Lyrical Media. Perkins is producing with his partner Chris Ferguson for Phobos and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Range.<\/p>\n

The Young People will be Perkins\u2019 fourth film with Neon in three years, following Longlegs, The Monkey, and Keeper<\/a>, which opens this weekend.<\/p>\n
