In the clip, the President can be heard saying: \u201c…agus an Ch\u00e9ad Aire an Tuaiscirt, Michelle Smith,\u201d before continuing with her address.<\/p>\n
However, the official transcript of the speech, later released by \u00c1ras an Uachtar\u00e1in, lists the correct name \u2013 \u201cMichelle O\u2019Neill.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms O\u2019Neill, who attended the event alongside other political and civic leaders from across Ireland, was among those to publicly support Ms Connolly\u2019s successful presidential campaign earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Sinn F\u00e9in had backed the independent candidate for the role, describing her as a candidate who would \u201crepresent all communities on the island\u201d.<\/p>\n
The inauguration marked the beginning of Ms Connolly\u2019s term as Ireland\u2019s tenth president, succeeding Michael D Higgins. She is also the third female to hold the position.<\/p>\n
In a social post, in which she shared a photograph of herself alongside President Connolly, the First Minister said: \u201cIt was a great privilege to represent you all as First Minister at the inauguration of our new President, Catherine Connolly.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday marks a day of great hope for our nation as Catherine begins her term as Uachtar\u00e1n na h\u00c9ireann.<\/p>\n
