A man has died and two others have been left seriously injured after a bin lorry crashed into a building in Herefordshire.<\/p>\n
The man, in his 60s, was a passenger in the vehicle, which also carried the driver and another passenger.<\/p>\n
The driver and the second passenger were seriously injured and airlifted to hospital.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at around 6.40am in Leominster, according to West Mercia Police.<\/p>\n
Superintendent Helen Wain said: \u201cA cordon remains in place while the fire service and local authorities continue to work to make the building safe.<\/p>\n
“Roads surrounding the building are closed and are expected to remain closed for some time.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn behalf of all agencies, our thoughts and condolences are with those involved and the families affected by the incident.”<\/p>\n
The building, initially thought to have been a house, was empty at the time and no one else was injured.<\/p>\n
The West Midlands Ambulance Service said it received multiple 999 calls at around 6.45am reporting that a refuse lorry had collided with a property.<\/p>\n
