The clock is ticking as Jake Paul continues to search for a replacement opponent for his next big Netflix boxing event, now rescheduled from this Friday<\/a> (Nov. 14, 2025) to sometime in mid-December.<\/p>\n

The latest hot rumored opponent is Tommy Fury, the man who beat Jake Paul<\/a> and took his 0 back in 2023 via split decision.<\/a> Barring anything more exciting — and Paul\u2019s people have been looking for something more exciting — it\u2019s \u2026 a fight. Tyson Fury\u2019s little brother Tommy is as boring as they come and uses his freakishly long arms to paw his way to decisions. But he holds that win over Paul, and he figures that\u2019s worth some serious money.<\/a><\/p>\n

Money that Paul\u2019s people are not willing to spend, apparently. In a new Instagram video, Tommy Fury and his father \/ manager John discussed the potential Paul fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sat with the perfect man to answer it,\u201d Tommy said, pointing the camera at his dad. \u201cThe guy that makes everything happen. Can you tell \u2018em when the rematch is gonna happen?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt should have happened six months ago,\u201d John Fury said. \u201cI\u2019ve been trying to put this together now for nearly a year. But unfortunately they\u2019re the ones that are putting the brakes on things by being greedy. And they just won\u2019t sign a contract. They want most of the money, which is understandable, but we\u2019re not being treated fair by them. So I\u2019ve given them a number, it\u2019s a yea or nay thing, and take it or leave it.\u201d<\/p>\n

That certainly doesn\u2019t sound like a fight that\u2019s locked in and ready to go. On the plus side, it\u2019s one that just requires Team Paul to pony up the right amount of dough. Several bigger names like Francis Ngannou<\/a> and Ryan Garcia<\/a> have said no outright, and no amount of money will change their minds.<\/p>\n

At this point Paul is down to the dregs of options. There\u2019s plenty of legitimate boxers around his age and size hoping he makes the mistake of fighting them. Then there\u2019s a few random aged MMA legends like Junior dos Santos angling for a fight. There\u2019s also Nate Diaz clamoring for a rematch.<\/a><\/p>\n

Paul needs something to generate views on Netflix or he could find himself cut off from the streaming platform\u2019s bountiful production fees.
