Raytheon UK has been awarded a contract to provide orbital analyst capability to the UK Space Agency in support of the nation\u2019s Space Domain Awareness mission, the company stated.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement, analysts from Raytheon UK will operate from the National Space Operations Centre at RAF High Wycombe, where they will deliver analysis and response functions aimed at enhancing the UK\u2019s ability to monitor and protect its assets in orbit.<\/p>\n
The contract also provides the UK Space Agency access to Raytheon UK\u2019s NORSSTrack software, which maps and tracks satellites, monitors debris and potential collisions, assesses re-entries, and supplies data for operational decision-making. According to the company, this system improves situational awareness and responsiveness in an increasingly contested space environment.<\/p>\n
