\n Last week, organisers announced it would be held in Robert’s Park, Saltaire, at 5.30pm on Friday as part of Bradford’s City of Culture celebrations.\n<\/p>\n
\n They have now confirmed a second showing of Painting the Sky at the park at 5.30pm on Thursday.\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesperson for Bradford 2025 said the additional event had been announced due to “exceptional demand” and also in light of the current poor weather forecast for Friday.\n<\/p>\n
\n If conditions allow, Friday’s event will also go ahead as scheduled.\n<\/p>\n
\n Painting the Sky will see works from across Mr Hockney’s career recreated above us by more than 600 choreographed illuminated drones – from his vibrant Californian pool scenes to his bright landscape paintings of the Yorkshire countryside.\n<\/p>\n
\n Having embraced the latest digital technology for many years, this is the first time the artist’s works will be presented using drones.\n<\/p>\n
