{"id":260407,"date":"2025-11-13T12:14:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T12:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/260407\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T12:14:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T12:14:13","slug":"deal-lets-dbs-paylah-users-make-qr-payments-in-more-than-100-markets-via-ants-alipay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/260407\/","title":{"rendered":"Deal lets DBS PayLah! users make QR payments in more than 100 markets via Ant\u2019s Alipay+"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 Singapore\u2019s biggest bank DBS Group and Ant International have on Nov 13 signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their partnership, and scale up cross-border payments and fintech services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The deal, announced at the Singapore Fintech Festival, will allow more than three million DBS PayLah! users to make QR code payments at over 150 million merchants in more than 100 markets via Ant\u2019s Alipay+ network, a statement by the companies said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The companies are also exploring near-instant remittances between DBS customers and 1.8 billion Alipay+ accounts, using global financial messaging standards, according to the statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Another area of collaboration is to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, and to scale up same-day and near-instant cross-border payment solutions for them. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Both companies said the partnership aims to drive inclusive growth and innovation across the region. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Ms Tan Su Shan, chief executive of DBS Bank, said Ant International is a \u201clike-minded partner in purpose-driven innovation\u201d. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">With their combined strengths, they can \u201cunlock new avenues for growth\u201d and \u201caccelerate future-ready solutions like tokenised deposits and agentic payments\u201d, she added.
