Harry Amass will remain at Sheffield Wednesday following the January transfer window. The Manchester United<\/a> left-back joined the Championship side on loan in September and is set to see his temporary stay extended.<\/p>\n Amass, 18, scored his first senior goal against Southampton<\/a> at the weekend but has enjoyed an accomplished loan spell in Yorkshire, despite the Owls heading into administration<\/a>. The teenager has not missed a game in the Championship since arriving at Hillsborough and has completed 90 minutes in the last 10.<\/p>\n The England under-19 international has hit the ground running in his first spell in senior football. United landed Amass in August 2023<\/a> after the defender spent his early years with Watford<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Red Devils are delighted with Amass’ loan thus far and that has seen the club decide to extend his stay with the Championship side, as first reported by the BBC<\/a>. Wednesday believe Amass has progressed significantly in his first months at the club.<\/p>\n Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen has spoken glowingly of Amass’ contributions. His progression has been amazing and, for a young player like Harry, he came with a lot of energy, but then the Championship always come knocking with three games in a row.<\/p>\n “It is tough, but he keeps on playing. This week, against West Brom<\/a>, against Norwich, against Southampton, he showed against three good teams that he can compete with them.<\/p>\n “It’s not only that he can compete but he can be dominant in some phases. So I think he has done a big development as a player and what I see is a young man who has started to have a big knowledge about himself as a human – who he wants to be, who he doesn’t want to be.<\/p>\n “He has started to control when his mood comes down to be more stable. I see a young guy who has started to be physically stronger. He runs more, he has started to sprint more, he has more accelerations and he starts to have smaller breaks in the game. He has started to be better between the phases of the game.<\/p>\n “I like him. He is a good boy, he is a good player and he loves to learn.
