{"id":262811,"date":"2025-11-14T17:23:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T17:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/262811\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T17:23:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T17:23:16","slug":"dietary-supplement-sold-nationwide-recalled-over-salmonella-concerns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/262811\/","title":{"rendered":"Dietary supplement sold nationwide recalled over salmonella concerns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating salmonella reports in multiple states.<\/p>\n<p>WASHINGTON \u2014 Food To Live has recalled certain packaged dietary supplement powders due to concerns about a salmonella outbreak.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two packages sold by the brand, &#8220;Organic Moringa Leaf Powder&#8221; and &#8220;Organic Supergreens Powder Mix,&#8221; with lot codes starting with SO-69006 and ending with SO-72558 are impacted, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/food-live-voluntarily-recalls-organic-moringa-products-because-possible-health-risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" id=\"isPasted\">Food and Drug Administration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The recall alert says the illnesses are connected to a supply of the dried Moringa oleifera from Vallon Farm Direct PVT LTD in India.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/outbreaks-foodborne-illness\/outbreak-investigation-salmonella-moringa-leaf-powder-october-2025#images\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">FDA<\/a> and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are investigating salmonella<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbir.com\/article\/news\/nation-world\/dietary-supplement-recalled-salmonella-super-greens-sams-club\/507-129bfd5c-f8ad-45d6-9ca9-124a253300fc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">\u00a0reports in multiple states.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Three different companies, Member\u2019s Mark Super Greens, Food To Live and Moringa power sold on Africa Imports\u2019 website, have now issued recalls connected to the outbreak as they all used the same supplier.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Food To Live products were sold nationwide on their website and others like Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target, Etsy and eBay.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We apologize for the inconvenience and concern this recall may cause our customers,&#8221; said Food To Live in the recall alert. &#8220;Our company is committed to ensuring the quality of our products and the well-being of our consumers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The recall urges customers with the product to throw it out or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. No one should consume the products with the above lot code.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with the bacteria typically experience fever, diarrhea that may be bloody, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain within 12 to 72 hours of consumption.
