However, the order doesn\u2019t exempt the goods entirely from tariffs.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhze7qn8000m3b6n25enly6l@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            For instance, tomatoes from Mexico, a major supplier to the United States, will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/07\/13\/business\/tomato-tariffs-mexico-prices\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">continue to be tariffed at 17%<\/a>. That rate took effect in July after a nearly three-decade-old trade agreement expired. Tomato prices increased almost immediately after those tariffs were put in place.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhzdz83l000k3b6ny8gmdqeh@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Many of the commodities that will no longer face \u201creciprocal\u201d tariffs have seen some of the biggest price increases since Trump took office, in part because of tariffs he imposed and a lack of sufficient domestic supply.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhzef9k4000u3b6nfritaa72@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            For instance, Brazil, the top supplier of coffee to the US, has faced tariffs of 50% since August. Consumers paid nearly 20% more for coffee in September compared to the prior year, according to Consumer Price Index data.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhzeedoj000r3b6n9vfdi79r@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The move comes after voters expressed frustrations with the state of the economy in exit polls earlier this month, voting for Democrats in off-year elections in several states.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-elevate inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmhzee4xy000p3b6n64ejd0v3@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            In previewing Friday\u2019s executive order, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said earlier this week the moves targeted goods \u201cwe don\u2019t grow here in the United States,\u201d referring to coffee and bananas.
