Donald Trump<\/a> called for NBC News to be stripped of its license for being a ‘pawn’ of the Democratic Party in a blistering social media spree.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president took to his Truth Social platform on Saturday night as he slammed the network for having ‘terrible’ programming, and that ‘their management is even worse.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘They are an arm of the Democrat<\/a> Party, and should be held accountable for that,’ Trump wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He added that ‘likewise, Fake News ABC!!! MAGA.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

In another post minutes later, Trump wrote: ‘Networks aren\u2019t allowed to be political pawns for the Democrat Party.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘It has become so outrageous that, in my opinion, their licenses could, and should, be revoked! MAGA.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tirade comes months after Trump signed an executive order slashing funding for PBS and NPR<\/a>\u00a0in May.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump moved against the publicly funded networks over an alleged bias against conservatives<\/a>, saying that it was ‘wasting billions’ on ‘atrocious’ broadcasting on Thursday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In his postings on Saturday night, Trump also branded the network’s owner Comcast as ‘Concast’, and noted that NBC’s viewership is down almost 28 percent this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In recent ratings, NBC Nightly News has seen a decline of over 600,000 viewers in just four weeks after announcing that night anchor Lester Holt<\/a> would be leaving.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump’s social media spree continued. After he accused NBC of being a ‘pawn’ for the Democrats, he then laid into his rival party’s spending during the 2024 presidential election.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said he was ‘looking at’ the huge sums of money the Democratic Party spent during the election cycle, which some estimates put at over $1 billion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump singled out reported payments of ‘$11 million to singer Beyonc\u00e9’ for an endorsement, which saw the artist appear on stage with Kamala Harris but not perform.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The president, writing hours after playing a round of golf on his golf course in Turnberry, Scotland on<\/a> Saturday, said: ‘She never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump also highlighted ‘Three Million Dollars for \u201cexpenses,\u201d to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV \u201canchor,\u201d Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others to be named for doing, absolutely NOTHING!’<\/p>\n

‘These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records,’ Trump wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Can you imagine what would happen if politicians started paying for people to endorse them. All hell would break out!\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted! Thank you for your attention to this matter.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
