Former scrum-half Steve Devine believes that the All Blacks\u2019 \u201cstructured\u201d attack is stifling Scott Robertson\u2019s side as the pressure increases on the head coach.<\/p>\n
New Zealand lost their second match of the 2025 season after they went down to a 33-19 defeat to England at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.<\/p>\n
It ended their Grand Slam hopes and was yet another disappointing performance during Robertson\u2019s<\/a> reign.<\/p>\n All Blacks\u2019 unwanted history<\/p>\n They have yet to win the Rugby Championship under the current head coach, who took over following Ian Foster\u2019s departure, while the All Blacks<\/a> went down to their largest-ever loss to the Springboks in September.<\/p>\n Questions are therefore being asked of \u2018Razor\u2019 Robertson and his backroom team after seeing little improvement during his time in charge.<\/p>\n \u201cMy feeling on the coaching staff is there\u2019s certainly something missing, they\u2019re not all on the same page. You can tell from the attack that they\u2019re not all on the same page, they\u2019re not fully understanding of what they do,\u201d 10-times capped All Black Devine told Sport Nation\u2019s The Rugby Run.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought when they got the ball to the wings, they made space, they looked good \u2013 that\u2019s the out England are always going to give you when they attack up and in [in defence]. You\u2019re always going to have the outside as the easy option.<\/p>\n \u201cWe got the ball there early and we made some ground there, we scored two tries down on one side. We just forgot to do that. It\u2019s a confidence thing but certainly there\u2019s something going on \u2013 not everyone looks like they\u2019re on the same page at times.\u201d<\/p>\n
