Following the release of her second album, \u2018The Art of Loving<\/a>\u2018, the musician made her debut on the show last night (November 15) with a pair of tracks from the record. Fresh off the back of a Grammy<\/a> nomination for Best New Artist at next year\u2019s ceremony, she kicked things off with \u2018Man I Need\u2019.<\/p>\n

Performing in front of a shimmering gold backdrop, a jubilant Dean sang backed by a band, who then joined her in slowing things down with \u2018Let Alone the One You Love\u2019.<\/p>\n

Both tracks come from her highly acclaimed latest album, the success of which saw her become the first female solo artist to ever have four singles in the Official Charts UK Top 10 simultaneously late last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The songs in question were \u2018Man I Need\u2019, which at that time was sat at Number Two, \u2018So Easy (To Fall in Love) at Number Six, \u2018Nice To Each Other\u2019 at Number Eight, and \u2018Rein Me In\u2019, her collaboration<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Sam Fender<\/a>, at Number 10.<\/p>\n

It followed after \u2018The Art of Loving\u2019 reached Number One in the album charts upon its release, marking the biggest opening week for a British female artist since Adele in 2021.<\/p>\n

Dean\u2019s latest record\u00a0scored a four-star review from\u00a0NME<\/a>, with Hannah Mylrea comparing her to musicians like\u00a0RAYE<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sam Fender<\/a>: \u201cBritish artists who\u2019ve ascended to bigger and bigger stages, crafting music that while sonically is in their own lanes, is filled with honest lyricism coming from a distinct voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Dean prepares for her own sold-out arena tours \u2013 and with her tracks soaring up the UK charts \u2013 this record comes to cement her place. With it, marks the next chapter in Dean\u2019s career, one as a popstar risen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of the album\u2019s release,\u00a0Dean shared the lead single \u2018Nice To Each Other\u2019 back in June<\/a>, and told fans it was about the push and pull of exploring your independence in dating.<\/p>\n
