{"id":267517,"date":"2025-11-17T09:05:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T09:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/267517\/"},"modified":"2025-11-17T09:05:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T09:05:11","slug":"vets-drafted-in-to-help-with-human-health-in-uk-first","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/267517\/","title":{"rendered":"Vets drafted in to help with human health in &#8216;UK first&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Sarah Christie, nation lead at Macmillan Cancer Support, said that the traditional way of getting cancer messaging out wasn&#8217;t working for farmers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We can put as much information through our Public Health Agency, through Macmillan, but will it resonate, will it land and do farmers actually have time to engage with it?<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;So by bringing vets into this conversation the people that are constantly out on farms, looking at their lifestyles, they&#8217;re a real trusted partner in those communities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">And an early diagnosis can save lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Farmers do put things off until it gets to the point where things are maybe a little too late.
