This Apple Watch Series 5 was £249 but is now reduced to £99

Black Friday is always a prime opportunity to snag that pricey piece of tech you’ve been eyeing for a while, with prices often plummeting to their lowest point all year. Whether it’s a self-indulgence or a present for a loved one, you’re bound to spot a deal or two worth seizing.

One type of gadget that shoppers will undoubtedly be on the lookout for is discounted smartwatches, especially considering brands like Apple regularly price their latest models close to £400.

However, there’s a way to save a hefty sum on an Apple Watch by opting for an older refurbished model, and there’s one currently up for grabs as part of Wowcher’s early Black Friday offers.

Customers who visit the Wowcher site can find either Apple Watch Series 5 or Series 6 devices starting from just £89 – that’s nearly £111 off the full price of £199.95. Equipped with most of the essential features you’d find on a brand new Apple Watch, they’re an excellent way to experience Apple’s wearable tech without paying full whack.

The models available are refurbished, which means they’ve had a previous owner. However, they’ve been restored to their former glory and should still work as expected, albeit with a few cosmetic marks here and there.

The Apple Watch Series 5 debuted in 2019 as the first Apple Watch to feature an always-on display. This innovation means users can constantly view the time on the screen without performing that awkward wrist movement to activate it, reports the Manchester Evening News.

It also maintains many of the same health monitoring capabilities you’d anticipate from a smartwatch, including heart rate and exercise tracking. A GPS sensor is also integrated, ideal for those who log their workouts and share them on Strava.

Customers who’d rather purchase a brand new watch instead of a refurbished model might prefer to choose something like the Garmin Forerunner 255. This fitness tracker is far more tailored for athletic training, and also boasts a 14 day battery life. It’s currently available for £199.99, reduced from £299.99.

There’s also this smartwatch from Cillso, which is currently a number one bestseller on Amazon. Able to handle calls and monitor health data, it’s presently priced at £23.99, slashed from £129.99.

Customers who purchased a refurbished Apple Watch Series 5 from Amazon were delighted, commenting: “Bought this for my partner and he thinks it’s a brand new watch. It came in the packaged box like a new one and does everything a new Apple Watch would.”

A second customer commented: “Excellent condition and exactly what I’d hoped to receive as a refurbished product. Very pleased.”

Meanwhile, a third reviewer noted: “My Apple Watch Series 5 was in excellent condition, with only 2 tiny very minor scratches, basically as good as new. The only downside is that the strap provided isn’t an original apple strap and is quite flimsy in comparison, so this may have to be changed in the future.”

It’s worth mentioning that the refurbished devices from Wowcher are fulfilled by Renew Electronics, which has received mixed reviews on Trustpilot. There are some five-star reviews, like this one from Chris: “Can’t really fault them.. ordered a “good” Apple Watch Series 4, arrived a few days later than it advised but I think that was a Royal Mail issue, customer service good and helpful, quite a small deep scratch on the screen which you can’t see when lit. Overall pretty good.”

However, there are a few less favourable reviews warning customers that not every refurbished device maintains the same level of quality: “Received watch nice and quick battery life is ok but watch has a deep scratch on face and also no charger cable. For the money it’s ok.”

For all the latest news, visit the Belfast Live homepage here and sign up to our Be lifestyle newsletter for all the latest showbiz, fashion, beauty, family features and more.

Shoppers can save almost £111 on refurbished Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple Watch Series 6 devices Joshua…

[17
304,786,86,56,54,55
post-268692","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-gadgets","tag-apple","tag-gadgets","tag-technology","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
!["These]("https://www.newsbeep.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/2_apple-watch.png")
