Man United could explore a deal to sign Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz after he named them among his dream moves ahead of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

That is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown<\/a>, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during their most successful period, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the 29-year-old had not previously been in United\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n

However, Munoz has opened the door to joining Man United<\/a> after admitting it would be a \u201cdream\u201d to play for the likes of United, Barcelona, PSG or Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

The Crystal Palace wing-back has been a star name under Oliver Glasner<\/a> and played a vital role in the Eagles lifting the FA Cup against Man City<\/a> last season.<\/p>\n

As a result, they are understood to be reluctant to lose their star man who also admitted he is happy at Selhurst Park, but could be put under pressure to sell.<\/p>\n

Brown told Football Insider on 14 November that Crystal Palace hope to keep Munoz<\/a> beyond the January transfer window despite the growing interest.<\/p>\n

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Man United are now set to explore the possibility of a move in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cMunoz has opened the door to a move away from Palace,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got a very good reputation, he\u2019s very highly rated for what he\u2019s done with Palace because he\u2019s been an important part of the success they\u2019ve had recently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never heard his name mentioned in connection with Man United, but he\u2019s now thrown that one out there, so people will take notice.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s done a cracking job for Palace since he arrived there, but if he\u2019s now looking to move on to one of these clubs he\u2019s speaking about, it could put pressure on them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think Man United have been prioritising a move for a right-back, but things can change.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause he\u2019s made this public declaration, I expect it\u2019s something they will look into, to see what it might take to get him out of Palace.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut before this, it\u2019s not something I\u2019ve heard mentioned and he\u2019s not somebody they\u2019ve been looking at.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo watch this space with this one, because he\u2019s thrown this out there and the club would be silly if they didn\u2019t at least have a look into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace\u2019s stance on Munoz exit revealed<\/p>\n

Football Insider revealed on 11 November that Crystal Palace are reluctant to lose Munoz<\/a> and will demand well over the reported \u00a325million asking price.<\/p>\n

Barcelona<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Chelsea<\/a>\u00a0are also believed to be interested in a January move for the right-wing-back as they aim to bolster their squads mid-season.<\/p>\n

However, the Colombia international is under contract until 2028, having put pen to paper on a new deal earlier this year, and the Eagles are under no pressure to sell.<\/p>\n

Despite his recent confession about his long-term future at Selhurst Park, there are currently no concerns about his attitude and commitment to Glasner\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n

Instead, Brown told\u00a0Football Insider\u00a0on 11 November that\u00a0Crystal Palace are planning to back Glasner<\/a>\u00a0when the mid-season window opens to add depth to his squad.<\/p>\n
