The feature debut of YouTube film critic Chris Stuckmann, Shelby Oaks is now available on Digital to rent ($9.99) or purchase ($19.99).<\/p>\n

The supernatural horror movie will be released on Blu-ray and DVD<\/a> on January 6 via Neon.<\/p>\n

Drawing comparisons to The Blair Witch Project and Hereditary, the film incorporates found footage elements in a traditional narrative.<\/p>\n

It follows a film crew who uncovers a disturbing new lead in a woman\u2019s obsessive search for her missing sister, steering her into a terrifying mystery at the hands of an unknown evil.<\/p>\n

Shelby Oaks is the highest-funded horror film in Kickstarter history with over $1.3 million raised. Following the campaign, Mike Flanagan joined the project as an executive producer via his Intrepid Pictures.<\/p>\n

Joe Lipsett wrote in his review<\/a>, \u201cEven if the film\u2019s closing moments are something of a fumble, the scenes set in the spooky cabin, as well as the film\u2019s strong first hour, confirm that Stuckmann is one to watch, particularly when the first time writer\/director sets out on his own path.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
