The Chancellor has triggered an \u201ceconomic exodus\u201d as new migration figures shows that the \u201celectorate is rightly angry\u201d and packing up and are leaving the UK as taxes skyrocket.<\/p>\n
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) newly published figures revealed that Brits are leaving the UK on mass which is three times higher this year compared to 2024 as Labour has caused an economic nightmare.<\/p>\n
In 2024 a total of 275,000 left the UK compared to what was previously thought to be 77,000.<\/p>\n
Tory shadow Business Secretary Andrew Griffith said this shows Labour is overseeing an \u201ceconomic exodus\u2026 as people flee Rachel Reeves\u2019s tax hikes and mismanagement\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s potentially the biggest reverse migration in British history,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was entirely predictable: when you tax something, you get less of it, and now people are voting with their feet. Labour have made our economy uncompetitive and we will all pay the price as hard-working, aspirational people move overseas \u2013 and take their tax contributions with them.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnly the Conservatives have the plan to deliver a stronger economy and make Britain the best place to do business.\u201d<\/p>\n
Robert Bates, Research Director at the Centre for Migration Control said, \u201cThe electorate is rightly angry that the last government not only failed to bring migration down, but initiated an unprecedented surge in numbers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis data revision means that net migration of foreign nationals during the last parliament was far higher than we first feared.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is hugely damaging for public trust that official bodies can simply undercount the numbers moving to our country by a quarter of a million.
