Meghan Markle<\/a> released a new product for her lifestyle brand<\/a>, As Ever, as she gave a rare glimpse into her private life with Prince Harry<\/a>, Prince Archie<\/a> and Princess Lilibet<\/a>. In a new newsletter sent to her As Ever followers on Tuesday night, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that what appeared to be the lavender fields around her Montecito home during promo photographs all year round were actually flowering sage, which she has now turned into sage honey, just in time for the festive period.<\/p>\n

Her team said sage is one of Meghan\u2019s favourite herbs and revealed the Sussex family would regularly take walks around the fields, which were made even more \u201cmagical\u201d by the presence of the flowering plant.
The newsletter read: \u201cWhen it comes to our founder\u2019s favourites, the delicate, herbaceous flavour of sage ranks high on the list.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy, you ask? Well, those photos you\u2019ve seen this year on our Instagram<\/a> of Meghan walking through what seems like lavender, with its gorgeous purple hue, actually share the beauty of flowering sage (Fun fact: the varietal is called Santa Barbara).\u201d<\/p>\n

It added: \u201cThose strolls, with Archie and Lili running in tow, her husband checking on the bees, Pula chasing the ball with Mia trying to keep up\u2014those were the sun-drenched moments that made an everyday walk something a bit more magical.<\/p>\n

“And that sage, that purple, that scent around the garden, was always there in the background.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meghan\u2019s team said the Duchess started drying all the different types of sage she was growing and using it in gifts, cooking, and infusing it into oils, with her latest attempt being As Ever\u2019s sage-infused honey.<\/p>\n

The product, which is now available to purchase for \u00a324 on As Ever\u2019s website, is described: \u201cMinimally processed to retain its delicate sage blossom notes and natural sweetness, this is our most epicurean honey\u2014its earthy, grounding flavor lends itself beautifully to savory dishes, while its gentle sweetness adds an elegant and elevated touch to desserts and light bites.<\/p>\n

\u201cReminiscent of warm days spent tending to the abundant varieties of sage growing in her own garden, this honey holds a special place in Meghan\u2019s heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

It also contains raw edible honeycomb.<\/p>\n
