{"id":272135,"date":"2025-11-19T19:08:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T19:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/272135\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T19:08:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T19:08:13","slug":"kashrus-agencies-revamp-kosher-beer-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/272135\/","title":{"rendered":"Kashrus Agencies Revamp Kosher Beer Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> By Anash.org reporter <\/p>\n<p>For decades, the standard kashrus assumption across the industry was that unflavored beers were generally kosher without requiring formal supervision due to their simple ingredients (water, hops, barley, yeast). <\/p>\n<p>However, in recent years, major changes in the brewing world \u2013 including a surge in craft breweries, new production techniques, and flavored varieties \u2013 have made that assumption increasingly unreliable.<\/p>\n<p>In response to these developments, Kashrus agencies have undertaken a major revision to beer kashrus guidelines.
