This evening\u2019s 6.30pm edition of BBC Look East was taken off the air for a time, soon after the programme started.<\/p>\n
A problem seemed to occur during the opening headlines, when video froze.<\/p>\n
The programme\u2019s headline bed ran for about 40 seconds until the programme was aborted and crashed back to London, where BBC London was just getting underway.<\/p>\n
Towards the latter stages of BBC London\u2019s opening package, BBC Look East resumed, with presenter Amelia Reynolds apologising for the interruption:<\/p>\n
\u201cHello. Good evening again. You\u2019re back with Look East. Apologies for the technical problems at the start of the programme.\u201d<\/p>\n
Details about the exact cause of the interruption haven\u2019t been shared publicly.<\/p>\n
This latest issue comes after a string of combined regional bulletins in recent months, where the same news programme has gone out in two regions.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s unclear how many of these pan-regional broadcasts were down to technical issues versus planned engineering work.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
