Hull City, Derby County, Oxford and Huddersfield Town are among EFL clubs eyeing January moves for Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi, sources have told Football Insider.<\/p>\n
Durosinmi has been impressing for Czech side Viktoria Plzen since returning from a serious double anterior cruciate ligament injury in both knees which ruled him out of action for 15 months.<\/p>\n
The Nigerian hit-man is entering the final six months of his contract at Plzen and he could be available for a cut-price fee of \u00a35.7million (\u20ac6.5m) in January.<\/p>\n
Hull City, Derby County<\/a>, Oxford and Huddersfield Town have all registered their interest in a deal.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old returned to action last February and he has scored five league in 14 appearances.<\/p>\n Durosinmi was on the verge of a transfer to German side Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023, but the move fell through as he failed a medical and an injury also halted a potential move to Belgian outfit Genk.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Durosinmi showing his potential for numerous seasons<\/p>\n The number 17 has been demonstrating remarkable improvement year-on-year despite his tender age.<\/p>\n Durosinmi already has nine goals in 21 appearances in all competitions this season, surpassing his 2024-25 record of eight goals in one game fewer.<\/p>\n This backed up an impressive 2023-24 with Viktoria Plzen where the Nigerian accrued a goal involvement every 71 minutes with six goals and five assists in the league.<\/p>\n The six-foot-four frontman has certainly shown a huge amount of promise and, with the Africa Cup of Nations approaching this winter, Durosinmi will be eyeing up a first call-up to the national team.<\/p>\n Hull City pushing ahead in bold long-term strategy focused on youth<\/p>\n Focus on youth is not unfamiliar for the Tigers of late as they maintain their desire to bring in talented youth to the club.<\/p>\n Sources told Football Insider that Hull City invited UCD\u2019s Adam Brennan on trial<\/a> as they considered a move for him.<\/p>\n![\"Sergej](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Sergej-Jakirovic-Hull-City-1024x576.jpg\")
