\"Farhan Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar<\/a> has finally offered clarity on two of his highly anticipated projects – ‘Don 3’ and ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. The actor, whose war drama ‘120 Bahadur’ releases in cinemas on Friday, November 21, took to his handle for a quick chat with his fans. While speaking candidly about the film and the story of the bravehearts set to unfold on the big screens, Farhan also spilled the beans on his next big ventures, thus putting months of speculation to rest.<\/p>\n

Don 3 to commence in 2026<\/p>\n

During the chat, Akhtar confirmed that the long-awaited third instalment of the ‘Don’ franchise, rumoured to be shelved, is in fact on track. \u201cNext year I will start work on Don 3,\u201d he said. The film, which stars Ranveer Singh<\/a> in the titular role, has been generating buzz since its announcement in August 2023. However, with no new update on the film, rumours began doing the rounds about the film possibly getting shelved. <\/p>\n

However, on Wednesday, at the special screening of ‘120 Bahadur’, Ranveer’s appearance reignited buzz around the film. <\/p>\n

Farhan on Jee Le Zaraa<\/p>\n

Akhtar also shared with fans the status of the film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, the road-trip drama originally announced with Priyanka Chopra<\/a>, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. \u201cThere is no update on ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. When I do, I will inform you,\u201d he stated.Previously speaking on the Our Stupid Reactions podcast, the director addressed ongoing speculation about the film. He shared, \u201cI would hate to say that it is shelved. What I will say is that it is put on the back burner. It is a film that will happen.”Akhtar added, “It’s too delicious a script. There’s so much work that’s already been done on it. I finished all the location scouts, I’ve recorded music for the film, all of this is done. It’s just a matter of time before we get back and do it again.”However, he hinted that the original trio may no longer be in the cast. He said, \u201cI can\u2019t comment on the cast anymore.
