Armagh<\/a> Golf Club in September alone brought in \u00a311,000.<\/p>\nThe event saw 79 golfers take to the course, helping to raise \u00a310,830 on the day, which Brenda then rounded up to \u00a311,000. The funds have been split equally between the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Dementia NI.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Armagh I, Brenda \u2013 who wished to thank everyone involved \u2013 said the success of the event and the total raised over the last five years had been \u201cstaggering\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really want to thank the golfers, sponsors, everyone that donated raffle prizes, bought tickets, and to all my family and friends,\u201d said Brenda. <\/p>\n
Special thanks were also extended to Shaun and Myra who travelled from Wales to help, Hugh who came from Florida to take part, and his wife Cindy who sponsored the day.<\/p>\n
Brenda also praised Harry\u2019s family, the winner of the flag auction Michael, photographer Paul Dickinson who caught all the action, the golf club, Parkland restaurant for the lovely meal, and anybody who helped in anyway at all.\u201d <\/p>\n
She added: \u201c\u00a335,500 is an amazing amount of money raised supporting local charities and remembering Harry \u2013 The Legend.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year marked the final fundraiser, rounding off an extraordinary achievement that has made a lasting difference to local charities. <\/p>\n
