\n Having established himself as one of the country’s finest young talents in leading the club’s Academy side to Grand Final glory in 2025 before shining on the team’s post-season tour of Australia, the 17-year-old half-back was catching the eye of several NRL clubs.\n<\/p>\n
\n However, the club have confirmed that Irwin, who made three first-team appearances during last season, has now penned a five-year deal to keep him at the club until the end of 2030.\n<\/p>\n
\n Irwin showed glimpses of his prodigious talent in his first senior start at Hull KR in Round 27, setting up two second-half tries, and he has been given squad number 18 for 2026.\n<\/p>\n
\n Increased first-team involvement appears likely for the teenage talent, but the man himself is focused on improving.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI\u2019m glad to have committed my future to the cub and I\u2019m really excited for the challenges ahead,” he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s a competitive environment, and that\u2019s exactly where you want to be. Academy and reserves level is very strong, but this is a step up now into the first team and I\u2019m looking forward to what\u2019s next.\n<\/p>\n

\n Head coach Sam Burgess added: \u201cI\u2019m really excited Ewan\u2019s committed his future to the club for the next five years.\n<\/p>\n
