\n Fairlight Manor, at 48 Fairlight Avenue, Telscombe Cliffs, Peacehaven, was rated ‘good’ in every category following a visit from Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors.\n<\/p>\n
\n The inspection, which took place between September 16, 2025 and October 7, 2025 assessed the care home across five categories: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.\n<\/p>\n
\n Each category received a ‘good’ rating.\n<\/p>\n
\n Fairlight Manor provides personal care and support for up to 19 older people, most of who were living with dementia.\n<\/p>\n
\n It previously received a ‘requires improvement’ rating following a visit in 2023.\n<\/p>\n
\n The new report was published on November 18 (Image: Google)\n<\/p>\n
\n Inspectors said the care home had made improvements since then and is no longer in breach of regulations in relation to safe care and treatment and good governance.\n<\/p>\n
\n This included ensuring that the home was “clean and tidy throughout”, as well as identifying and mitigating environmental risks.\n<\/p>\n
\n The inspectors wrote in their report: “People were protected from the risk of abuse, harm, or discrimination.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Staff knew people well and understood the care and support required, and their medicines were managed safely.”\n<\/p>\n
\n They added that there were “enough staff who had been safely recruited and received ongoing training and support”.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Staff ensured they received support from appropriate health and social care professionals when they needed it,” the report said.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report also commended staff for treating residents with “kindness and compassion”, as well as supporting them to make their own decisions and choices.\n<\/p>\n

\n Privacy and dignity were respected, and independence was maintained, the inspection report said.\n<\/p>\n
\n Residents were encouraged to maintain relationships with family and friends.\n<\/p>\n
\n The home ensured that there were activities available throughout the day and supported people in maintaining their own interests and hobbies, while staff were found to respond to people in a timely way.\n<\/p>\n
\n The inspectors also highlighted the positive culture at the service and said that staff wellbeing was supported.\n<\/p>\n
\n The provider, Fairlight Manor Limited, was noted to have good oversight of the service.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report stated that they were “committed to learning, improving, and developing the service for the benefit of the people who lived there”.\n<\/p>\n
