The images of Errol Spence<\/a> in the ring are starting to fade from everyone\u2019s memory.
The former unified welterweight champion has been out of sight since a one-sided stoppage loss to Terence Crawford <\/a>in July 2023. He did, however, show up ringside during Vergil Ortiz\u2019s second-round KO win over Erickson Lubin<\/a> in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 8.
And Ortiz and his team have mentioned Spence <\/a>as a possible future opponent instead of Jaron Ennis.<\/p>\n

Spence will be in need of a trainer if he does fight again, however, since splitting with Derrick James. <\/p>\n

Roy Jones Jr. flew to Dallas to work with him. After doing so, Jones believes the 35-year-old isn\u2019t a shell of his former self. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe looked good, he looked very good to me,\u201d Jones said to FightHype.com. \u201cI seen that glow in him again. It made me feel good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the last few years, Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) has flirted with making a return at 154 pounds. Even now, despite being out of the limelight, he has options. <\/p>\n

Ortiz called Spence his “dream fight.” Sebastian Fundora and Jermell Charlo also have named Spence as a possible opponent. <\/p>\n

If he does return, Jones wants Spence to know that he enjoyed their brief time together and is more than willing to continue aiding him for as long as he needs it. <\/p>\n
