Much of the media agree that Arne Slot<\/a> is now battling to save his job at Liverpool, following a dismal 3-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Liverpool were abject from the moment they fell behind on Saturday, with a second consecutive 3-0 loss coming their way in an increasingly concerning season.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how the media reacted to a shocking afternoon for the Premier League<\/a> champions.<\/p>\n

It was a grim defeat for a beleaguered Liverpool side<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

The Athletic<\/a>\u2018s James Pearce felt this was Slot\u2019s nadir at Liverpool to date:<\/p>\n

\u201cA season increasingly packed with chastening setbacks for Liverpool just lurched to an embarrassing new low.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was the bleakest day of the Arne Slot<\/a> era as his side were routed on home turf.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sam Wallace of the Telegraph<\/a> thought the Reds were a mess in various areas:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis felt from the start like a game that could slip away from Liverpool but in the end the collapse was spectacular and the slump now very well-established.<\/p>\n

\u201cThree wins in the last 11 games in all competitions. The second straight 3-0 Premier League<\/a> defeat. Another day to question the suitability of their record signing Alexander Isak<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cMidfielders playing as defenders. Defenders scarcely able to defend.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This all felt very different to last season\u2019s defeat at home to Forest, according to the Guardian<\/a>\u2018s Andy Hunter:<\/p>\n

\u201cNottingham Forest<\/a>\u2019s victory here last season was a blip in an otherwise commanding Premier League<\/a> home campaign for Liverpool. <\/p>\n

Their repeat this season, a far more convincing triumph under Sean Dyche, was symptomatic of the problems engulfing the faltering champions. <\/p>\n

\u201cArne Slot<\/a> cannot pin set-piece failings on this one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scott Trotter of the Mirror<\/a> questioned Liverpool\u2019s fight, focusing on their response to going 1-0 down:<\/p>\n

\u201cEven in their spectacular title-winning season, Liverpool didn\u2019t pick up three points against Forest. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Midlands club earned a win at Anfield and claimed a draw at the City Ground when few stood in the Reds\u2019 way.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn this occasion, Liverpool were dismantled. They had more shots and possession, but never looked like they would come back once they were behind.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail<\/a>\u2018s Riath Al-Samarrai feels a similar way:<\/p>\n

\u201cThose are questions that are growing in volume around a title defence of ever-diminishing returns and recurring errors. <\/p>\n

\u201cShambolic would barely do justice to the latest instalment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Liverpool Echo\u2018s Paul Gorst<\/a> highlighted Slot\u2019s tactical struggles, with desperate substitutions made most weeks:<\/p>\n

\u201cNot at Anfield today but Ekitike on for Konate at 2-0 sums up the entire season. Load up on attackers, send the team\u2019s structure to the wall and watch as it gets worse. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is the actual pre-match plan for these players?
