Thankfully, the night of Nov. 23 will see Earth and Saturn&#8217;s orbits together make the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/30372-gas-giants.html\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/30372-gas-giants.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">gas giant<\/a>&#8216;s iconic rings angled so they appear incredibly thin once again when viewed from Earth \u2014 so much so that they will look almost invisible through the scope of a backyard telescope.<\/p>\n<p>Best picks for you<\/p>\n<p id=\"e28f7555-adf4-4d08-a270-f35195c4048f\">Look halfway up the southeastern sky on Nov. 23 to find Saturn shining as a bright &#8220;<a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/31851-what-is-morning-star-evening-star.html\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/31851-what-is-morning-star-evening-star.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">evening star<\/a>&#8221; below the circlet of <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/57-stars-formation-classification-and-constellations.html\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/57-stars-formation-classification-and-constellations.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stars<\/a> representing the head of the Great Western Fish in the constellation Pisces.<\/p>\n<p>Saturn&#8217;s rings will be hidden from sight, though a thin line of shadow may be visible crossing the gas giant&#8217;s surface and hinting at their phantom presence.
