Celtic captain Callum McGregor snatched three points against St Mirren on Saturday night when it looked like two were about to be dropped.<\/p>\n

Celtic\u2019s win at St Mirren<\/a> was one of champions, one that shows courage from a team who never gives up despite playing poorly.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also a win that could have a big say in the title race, especially after Hearts choked under the pressure as Derek McInnes\u2019 side lost at Aberdeen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In these games, big characters need to step up and there are none as big as Celtic captain Callum McGregor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the seconds ticked down, McGregor\u2019s last-gasp Celtic goal<\/a> ensured Martin O\u2019Neill\u2019s 100% win record remained intact. And it also inspired Luke McCowan<\/a> to send his captain a message.<\/p>\n

And after watching McGregor\u2019s stunning goal clinch an important win, McCowan shares what he told the Celtic captain immediately after his winning goal.<\/p>\n

McCowan told The National<\/a>, \u201cI think that Callum exemplifies that as a player, as a captain, as a leader. The qualities he\u2019s got. He keeps going and going and going, and long may it continue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s just being present. You\u2019ve got to try to stay that way when you\u2019re a football player. It\u2019s so hard when you play with a big club like Celtic and things are happening. It\u2019s just a hard thing to do.<\/p>\n
