The American joins <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazn.com\/en-GB\/news\/boxing\/lewis-crocker-vs-paddy-donovan-2-saturday-fight-night-belfast-recap\/u805o6p8vc1g15yodjv8vis82\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Lewis Crocker<\/a>, Mario Barrios and Rolando Romero as current world champions at 147lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Garcia, who fought Haney at the Barclays Center in New York in April 2024 and saw his points win overturned to a No Contest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/boxing\/articles\/cne90d194z9o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">following a failed drug test<\/a>, praised his rival for beating Norman with <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RyanGarcia\/status\/1992416344424485152\" rel=\"nofollow\">a simple message on social media platform X.<\/a><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Congratulations Devin, great performance<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s the stars align \u2728<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RYAN GARCIA (@RyanGarcia) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RyanGarcia\/status\/1992416344424485152?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">November 23, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A rematch between Haney, 33-0 (15 KOs), and Garcia, 24-2 (20 KOs), could be in play for 2026, but only if Garcia can secure victory in his next fight. Last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/ryan-garcia-announces-next-fight\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u2018King Ry\u2019 revealed on social media that he had signed a contract to face WBC titlist Barrios<\/a>, although official confirmation has yet to follow.<\/p>\n<p>Garcia is looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing performance against Romero in May when they fought for the vacant WBA welterweight title at Times Square in New York.
