An off-contract NRL and international forward has reportedly confirmed his plans for 2026, despite links to an overseas switch to Super League.<\/p>\n
Tui Kamikamica is set to stay at Melbourne Storm for another season, with the club offering him a 12-month extension now that they have space on the salary cap.<\/p>\n
Originally, the Fijian prop was set to leave Craig Bellamy\u2019s side due to the club having no room left on the current cap, however key departures including Ryan Papenhuyzen and Nelson Asofa-Solomona has meant they are able to keep him around for another year.<\/p>\n
The report, which comes from the\u00a0Courier Mail<\/a>\u00a0in Australia, says that the Storm man, who is now a free agent after his contract expired on November 1, will re-sign with the club and continue with Melbourne for 2026.<\/p>\n At the time, Kamikamica was the only player of the 34 to take to the field in the NRL Grand Final, in which Storm lost, that didn\u2019t have a confirmed future, however that looks set to change, as he prepares to enter his 10th straight season of first grade.<\/p>\n The 31-year-old had links to South Sydney Rabbitohs<\/a> and other clubs in Australia and in Super League, with St Helens thought to be the most interested<\/a> after missing out on Canberra Raiders prop, Josh Papali\u2019i.<\/p>\n Paul Rowley\u2019s side have brought in the overseas trio of Jacob Host, David Klemmer and Jackson Hastings for 2026, as they look to build on Paul Wellens\u2019 tenure at the club that left time without an appearance in a final for three seasons.<\/p>\n
